Privacy by construction
It can't leak what it never sends.
Dispatchers are asked to trust software with the worst parts of their week. We decided the honest way to earn that was to build an app that is incapable of sharing anything — not one that merely promises not to.
The version you download from this site ships without the internet permission.
Not unused — absent. The operating
system itself will refuse a network connection if the app ever tries to open
one. You can confirm it yourself before installing:

permissions, and that is not one of them.
A Play Store version is coming, and it will differ in exactly one respect: Google's billing library requires network access, so that build carries the internet permission. Your entries still never leave the phone either way. The difference, in full →
- No account and no sign-up. There is nothing to log into, so there is no password to lose and no profile to breach.
- Encrypted on the device. Your entries are sealed with a key held in the phone's hardware keystore — a key that cannot be exported off the device, even by us.
- No analytics, ads or trackers. No third-party SDKs, no crash pings, no "anonymous usage data".
- Nothing is scored or interpreted. No streaks, no adherence, no "missed" flags, no severity scales. The app records what you chose and stops there — there is no field in it for a judgment.
- Your notes stay off the lock screen. A reminder can show up without showing anyone standing near your phone what it was about.
- Delete means deleted. One action erases everything, including any reminders already queued with the operating system.

If the permission matters to you, take the version on this page. If you would rather Google handled the billing and the updating, wait for the store.
Installing a direct download
Because this comes from us rather than from a store, Android will ask you once whether you trust it. That is the system working correctly, not a warning about the app.
- Tap Download for Android above and let the file finish.
- Open it from your notifications or your Downloads folder.
- If Android says installing from this source is not allowed, tap Settings on that prompt and turn on permission for your browser, then go back.
- Tap Install, then Open.
Android may also offer to scan the file, which is fine. You can turn the install permission back off afterwards.
Verify the file before you install it
Every release is signed by Chaos Innovations LLC, and Android checks that signature before installing. If you would also like to confirm the file arrived intact, its SHA-256 is published here and in a checksum file:

About Chaos Innovations
Chaos Innovations LLC builds tools for the people who hold the line when everything else is coming apart. Dispatcher Strong is our first app, and it was shaped by the job it is for — not adapted from a general wellness product and pointed at dispatchers afterwards.
It is owned and directed by Michelle Tringali, whose requirements drove every design decision in it, down to the rule that gold is a brand color and never a status color.
Why it was built this way
A dispatcher's wellness data is unusually sensitive. It can touch fitness for duty, it can be subpoenaed, and it can be read over a shoulder in a room with no privacy.
So the app's boundaries are not settings you have to find and switch on — they are built into its structure. It holds no field for a diagnosis, keeps no score, and has no way to reach the network. That is the whole design.
